MLM asked: There are basically 2 camps of thoguht in the poker world, when it comes to dissatisfaction with the WSOP Main Event buy in. People who think the WSOP buy in ($10,000) Is too expensive, Poker is, afterall, the only sport that appeals to pros and ameteurs, the only sport where as an ameteur you have the chance to sit at a table and play against your idols. $10,000 is hardly affordable to the common player (although there are a wide range of satelites to this tourney)
On the other side, many people believe that the WSOP buy in should be raised, to make it less of a lottery and more of a game of skill. Afterall, there were almost 8,000 people playing last year, for a pro to even make it to the money is becoming extremely difficult. Which side do you identify with/ i haven’t really decided.

batman253 asked: How do the Satellite Tournaments work? I see all the time on the internet about $215 buy-in to WSOP or WPT Satellite Tournament. If you win this event where does it take you-into a next Satellite? How many satellites do you have to play to earn a WSOP or WPT seat?
Veleno45- Considering you had won a seat at the WSOP-it would be highly appreciated if you could respond (did not know how to contact you directly).

steveheremd asked: Last year for the WSOP main event I payed my own way (all expenses plus the $10,000 buy-in) and ended up winning a little over $30K. This year I have some friends who want a piece of the action by paying for part of the buy-in and trip. Things were simple last year as far as the taxes and such and I am just not sure if I want the extra work of seeing that the income (If I win anything) is distributed and the tax forms are proper. Has anyone done this (not including entries won online) where you were sponsored to play? Any suggestions on how to approach this or should I foot the bill and the risk alone again?
