Well, I don’t want say I **** the guy, but keep in mind, it’s why poker is one of the best game in the wold. Anybody can win!!
Even a donkey, an average player can be lucky. But I give him credit, let’s see what he does the next couples years . Now with his money he can play against great players. He might get better. He knows it. That’s why he played so many hands on high stakes poker, wanted to practice with pros. That wasn’t about the money.
Let’s just say, that if you pick 4 main event winner, for example C. Moneymaker and J. Gold…..there in the same “team” and compare them to G.Raymer and J.Hachem……Yep, definitely not the same poker level! But he has the bracelet, nobody can take that away from him.

I thought he made interesting TV. He probably is a bit of a **** in real life, especially when playing poker. But he is no donkey and he certainly didn’t beat over 8,000 players with luck alone.
It’s all well and good to be criticizing his final table antics and the things he said, but in a tournament like that you don’t amass that kind of chip lead and hold on to it completely by chance.

I agree with most. He wasnt a fluke , you dont beat 8 gazillion people with sheer luck. He was fortunate to get great cards from what I saw and played them pretty well. His table talk is another matter, i agree with the guy who said hed most likely be a **** at the poker table. I think I would find him very annoying myself but others might not. He was , for the most part, honest when he talked about his hand I will give him that

I think that gold played very well. He also did get lucky as far as flopping big hands, but he played well and beat out 8,000 others. It is hard enough winning a tournament with 400 people but 8000 people is an outrageous number to get past. He made some bad calls and got lucky, but we all have to get a little lucky to win a tournament.In the end he has 1 more wsop bracelet then i or you do, so you have to respect that.

I think jamie gold is a coplete ******. I saw him play on a cash game on tv and while in the small blind he would raise the big blind with nothing and show the bluff (no one else in the hand). what an absolute moron
