When does the World Series of Poker Main Event for 2007 start? Who do you think will win? A “pro” or a rookie? I’ll go pro. Maybe Ivey.

I believe it starts on Friday, July 6, 2007 and goes for 12 days. I think it will be some unknown amateur that wins. With around 9,000 players, with the great majority being amateurs, it’s unlikely a pro will win. There’s just too much luck involved in poker that even a pro can’t control.
The pro I’d like to see win would be Daniel Negreanu.
The MAIN EVENT start on july 6. And I don’t think a pro is going to win. I pick IVEY too, but to win the 50K HORSE!
The MAIN EVENT had become more of a lottery ticket, I have to admit that I haven’t play any satellites for the MAIN EVENT, not even interested.
But I hope you’re right and I hope we are going to see a great final table full of pros!
Take care
the main event begins july 6
to be honest, i think there is very little chance that we see a name pro win the event just because there are so few of them, but someone who has played professionally but never had a major success and is not a household name has the best chance in my opinion, because obviously they have more skill than the average player and there are more of them than “top” pros, so there is a numbers advantage there…i can guarantee, however, that no matter how many players are in the field there will never be a main event final table in which there isn’t even one name player
