wsop - how many chips do you start with in the smaller events?

   i have played a couple smaller events each of the last two years.

   in 06 they started everyone with an amount of equal to the buyin of the tourney, so a 1500 tourney got you 1500 chips. blidns started at 25/25. each level lasted 1 hr and the blinds definitely escalate but they dont always double like most poorly structured tourneys.

   In 07 they started everyone with twice the buyin in chips. now if you were playing a 1500 event you got 3k in chips to start. the blinds levels also doubled. it was pretty pointless.

   i have no clue what the plan is for 08
